# Bluethenics

> Bluethenics is an independent software studio. It builds ADCode, a free ad-supported code editor that credits developers a share of its advertising revenue; Jace, an on-device AI assistant; and Venet, a curated network for startup founders.

Bluethenics is small, self-funded, and builds desktop and web software for people who would
rather own the important part of a tool than rent it. The three products apply the same
decision three times: the person using the software should keep the part of it that has
value — the revenue, the choice of model, or the network.

### ADCode — available now

ADCode is a free, ad-supported code editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is the
studio's shipping product.

- **What it is**: a complete IDE — Monaco editing, multiple integrated terminals, git with
  blame and a browsable commit history, workspace search, four AI providers, plain-English
  compiler errors, a built-in preview server, and live collaboration.
- **Price**: free. No subscription, no trial, no paid tier, no seat count.
- **How it is funded**: advertisers bid in a second-price auction from $1.00 per 500
  impressions for an occasional sponsored card in the corner of the editor window.
- **Revenue share**: the developer who saw the ad is credited 50% of the winning bid's
  clearing price.
- **Earnings record**: an append-only ledger, readable in the editor and on the web.
  Entries are never edited or deleted; corrections are separate reversals that reference
  the original entry.
- **Ad targeting**: a fixed vocabulary of 45 generic tags such as the language and
  framework in use. File contents, file paths, and project names never leave the machine.
- **AI**: four providers, on the user's own API key. Bluethenics adds no markup and no
  request cap of its own.

### Jace — early access

Jace is a personal AI assistant that runs entirely on the user's own computer.

- **What it does**: gives a large language model the ability to act on the machine —
  opening apps, managing files, running commands, browsing the web, and automating
  repetitive desktop work.
- **Voice-first**: talk to it naturally, or type.
- **Local-first**: conversations are stored locally, in a folder the user chooses. Nothing
  is forced into the cloud.
- **Choice of LLM**: Google Gemini by default, with the option to swap in GPT, Claude, or
  any API-accessible model.
- **Agents**: build custom agents from scratch or start from a template.
- **Platforms**: Windows, macOS, Linux. Pre-launch; downloads open when it leaves early
